Brokaw Flaws
Rush played a great edit yesterday of the Charlie Rose interview with Tom Brokaw in which Brokaw confesses, inadvertently, to the media's utter incompetence. It's delightful.

Unqualified White Liberals
Rush nails it - again. If Powell is not being influenced by race, then where are all the unqualified, inexperienced white liberals he's been moved to support?
Rush Limbaugh said Colin Powell's decision to get behind Barack Obama appeared to be very much tied to Obama's status as the first African-American with a chance to become president. It is odd that Powell was so influenced by 7 weeks of watching Barack.
"Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race," Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. "OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I'll let you know what I come up with."
As for Powell's statement of concern this morning about the sort of Supreme Court justices a President McCain might appoint, Limbaugh wrote: "I was also unaware of his dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia. I guess he also regrets Reagan and Bush making him a four-star [general] and secretary of state and appointing his son to head the FCC. Yes, let's hear it for transformational figures."

Are you wondering?
The big question about Barack, should he become President, is whether he will remain committed to the radical causes, organizations and individuals who brought him to power, or if he'll sell them out as readily as he has his stated principles.
I'm reposting this video because it reflects on this important question, and it now has the added power of Rush talking about it. The piece shows Barack promising to put the folks from ACORN at the policy making table not just during his first 100 days, but in advance of his taking office.

Obama took questions from the moderator, Katherine Hughes. Katherine Hughes says, "If elected president would you agree in your first 100 days to meet with a delegation of representatives from these various community organizations, the Campaign for Community Values, and so forth, can they count on you in your first 100 days to sit down with them?"
OBAMA: Yes. But let me say that before I even get inaugurated, during the transition we're going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda. (cheering) We're going to be having meetings all across the country with community organizations so that you have input into the agenda of the next presidency of the United States of America!
RUSH: So he's going to have ACORN in without preconditions. He's going to have all these community organizations in, and he's going to let them set the agenda and he's out there denying that he knows them.
