Race Stalled

The Gallup poll is up to a 7% Obama lead today among likely voters, joining Zogby in the swing toward Barack over the past couple of days, while Rasmussen moved down to a 4% Obama lead yesterday.
Among all registered voters, there has been fairly little variation in recent days, with Obama receiving between 50% and 52% of the vote over the last five reports and McCain in a range between 41% and 43%. In the current three-day rolling average of registered voters Obama remains ahead by 52% to 41%, exactly the same as Monday's update.
Perhaps Colin Powell is responsible for stopping the slow move toward McCain. Can the GOP recapture the momentum with things like Joe Biden's warning that electing Barack means trouble? We'll see.
