Bush Carter

I like this McCain counter-strategy of making Barack into Jimmy Carter. Turnabout is fair play, after all. I think they need to hit it harder.
"[Senator Obama] wants a windfall profits tax on oil, to go along with the new taxes he also plans for coal and natural gas. If the plan sounds familiar, it's because that was President Jimmy Carter's big idea, too, and a lot of good it did us," Mr. McCain said.
While the Obamafia should be enough to sink Barack all by itself, it's also important to let folks know that, politically, he is nothing more than a younger, more glamorous George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Mike Dukakis, Fritz Mondale, Al Gore and John Kerry.
"Now, as then, all a windfall profits tax will accomplish is to increase our dependence on foreign oil, and hinder exactly the kind of domestic exploration and production we need."
So if Barack wants to play the old political game of trying to beat McCain with guilt by association, McCain should do the same thing.
